The Payment of ever} Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. ParticipntioH in Profits is authorised by the Legis lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No. Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-AH Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent o\ their value, under^ a special regulation' providing for tho continuance in fiorce of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted iii payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed » cash surrender value, of not less thato 40 per cent: of thb paid-up premiums j and if for any reason the premiums ore not paid when due, a.paidup^Policy will be issued,/generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace «* allowed on all Benewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions as to travel ling and residence. . '■ B—Policies protected from Bank-ruptcy-—An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, b»nafide on hia own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after, ten years, to £2000. This; protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poii cies, dispose of the money by will, as if iinglo; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies—Policies effected for. the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to. the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or.any period not less than seven years. If. apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. . ....;. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus Baying great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.. NOTICE, SECTION 121 (1) of "The Stomp Act, 1875," provides that every person taking possession of, or receiving or paying any moneys' belonging to, or accruing from, the property (realty as well as personalty) of any person dying on. and after Ist January next, without having first filed the required statement and paid the duties assessed thereon, s! all forfeit a sum not exceeding £500. Whether probate or letters of adminiitration are grafted by any Court or not, a statement, of all property nuist be filed'and duties paid before the property or any part thereof of any deceased person is in any manner dealt with. On payment of the proper duties, the probate or letters received from the Court, or the statement of property in other cases, will be stumped and delivered to the person entitled thereto. . Forms of this statement (L) m»y be obtatained at any Stamp Office, at the offices of Registrars and Clerks of the Supreme and District Courts, and from the Postmaster Depositaries throughout the colony, from whom also may be obtained further information.
