Monthly return of gold:—Waipau, soven ounces; Al, seven and a-half; Bismarck, one hundred; Tokatea, two hundred and twenty-one; Royal Oak, fifty-eight and a-fcalf; Pride of Tokatea (McLean's tribute), sixty-one and a-half; Pride of Tokatea (McNeill's), nine; Bright Smile, nineteen; Snowden's, twelve and a-half; Sundries, eighteen. The Tokatea got a parcel «f specimens, fifty pounds, last evening. Thorley, injured yesterday by a blast, died last night. An inquest will be held today. Mercury Bay.—Ocean, loading. Several assault cases from the Bay were heard here this morning. It is time another Justice of the Peace was appointed there to prevent bringing men thirty-eight miles in such petty cases.
