M. jljL Cobbett, to construct a Water Bace for mining purposes, commencing at the termination of the Waitekauri Company's Water Race, and terminating at about l\ miles below said point. The length of such Bace i* about H miles, and its intended course is southerly. The mean .breadth and depth.of such Water Race is six feet by four feet, and it is capable of carrying thirty-two sluice* heads of water, and the number of Bluice heads of forty inches each which" it is'proposed to appropriate is thirty-two. ; NOTICE is therefore given that on the 13th day of July, 1877, a License may be granted to the said E. Wbxifobd (for the Ajax Gold Mining Company, Limited) for a license to construct a Water Race for mining purposes at Tairua, cooimenciDg at the termination of the Tairua Water Race, and terminating at a point a mile below the Tairua battery. The length ". of such Race is one mile, or thereabouts : and its intended course is easterly. The mean breadth and depth of euch Race it two feet by eighteen inches ; it is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each whichat ia proposed to appropriute is two.
