The Payment of evcrj, Policy is guaranteed by tJie Colony. Piirticipatioa in Probis is authorised 1 by the Legis lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Pees charged. ■ ... • . . ■ ■. ■; 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual- payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid, three full annual premiums, are. guaranteed a cash surrender value of not Jess than ,40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums ; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy Vill be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on. all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions as to travel ling and residence. 8-<Pqlicies protected from Bank* ruptcy.—An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, lenafde on his own life, is protected from'bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, whidh increases with its duration. Thus, after ife has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years ; to £500; after seven years, ! to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9 —Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if singlej and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies- —Policies effected for the benefit of • the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it cat* be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c., dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged. • W. "THE STAMP ACT, 1875." ; NOTICE, SECTION 121 (1) of "Tbe Stamp Act; 1875," provides that every peraon takittg possession of, or receiving or paying any moneys belonging to, or accruing from, the property (realty as well as personalty) of any person dying" on and after Ist January next, without having first filed the required statement and paid the duties assessed thereon, shall forfeit a sum not exceeding £500. Whether probate or letters of administration are granted by^ony Court or not, a state* ment of all property must be filed and duties paid before the property or any part thereof of-any deceased person is in any manner dealt with. , ; On payment of the proper duties, the probate or letters received from the Court, or the statement of.property in other cases, will.be stamped and delivered to the person entitled thereto. \ . Forms of this statement (L) may be ob« tatained at any Stamp Office, at the officeß of Registrars and Clerks of the Supreme; and District Courts, and from the Postmaster Depositaries throughout the colony, from whom also -may be obtained further information, "i B. 0.
