M. xjL Cobbett, to construct a Water Bace for mining purposes, commencing at the termination of the Waitekauri Company's Water Bace, and terminating at about l| miles be* low-laid point. The length of such Bace is about ]| miles, and its intended course ii southerly. The mean breadth and depth of auch Water Bace is six feet by four feet, and it is capable of carrying thirty-two sluice* heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is pro* posed to appropriate is thirty-two. NOTICE is therefore given that on the 13th day of July, 1877, a' License may be grafted to the -aid E. M. Corbett fov the above-described Wat3r Bace, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. W.
