"STAMP ACT, 1875," BILLS OF LADING AND KEOEIPTd IN LIEU THEBEOF.. £T is hereby notified, that, after the Ist of January 1876, the use jof Impressed Stamps on Sills, of Lading is compulsory. Such documents must, after that date, be written .upon paper previously impressed at the Head Office, and cannot be stamped after the execution thereof. Ik is requested, therefore, that Merchants, Shipping Agents, and others concerned, will, without delay, forward to this office such forms us they may requ're 'to be impressed, accompanied by the uaual requisition' and receipt of the Bank of New Zealand for the amount, lees the authorised discount. Except where- express . provision is made to the contrary, all duties are to be denoted by impressed stamps only." "62. (1.)
