. An effort is being made to form a company to be called the Wellington and Mohikinui Coal Mining Company. The nominal capital is. set down at £30,000, in thirty thousand shares. The promoters have secured .a prospector's license for over five thousand acres, with the option of taking up two square miles within six months on lease for 21 years. The head-, quarters of the company are to be in Wellington. The object of the company is'to work a coal field on the southern side of the Mohikinui river. . • •• .
