Warden* Office, Grahamstown, 22nd May, 1877. A PPLICATION ha* been made by John JL\. D. Wickham for a license to construct * Water Race for Mining purposes at Tairua, commencing at termination of the Ajax Or M Co.'s Water Race, and terminating at a point about 200 yards below the Tairutj Company's old battery site on main Creek. The length of such Race is three-quarters of a mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-east and north. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet bj eigh« teen inches. It is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water, and the number of " •luice heads of forty inches each which it it proposed to appropriate is two* NOTICE is therefore given, that on tk« 26th day of June, 1877, a License nay be granted to' the above-named John D.
