The following is, the.mine manager's weekly. report: —Waitekauri mine, May 21st, 1877.—Directors of the Waitekauri Goldmining and Quartz-crushing Company. —Gentlemen,—l beg to forward the following weekly report: —-On the lower level the main drive is in 90 feet south of No. 2 winze. I am taking four feet of the footwall lode, and the stone is lookwell. I have broken down the reef going north eight feet, and it is showing good golden stone. On the 160 feet level the driveto the north of the wnueis in. 90 feet, and lam taking eight feet'of the "vse?, which is showing good golden stone. I cm also stoping both north and south of the winze, and in all the. stopes the reef is showing good gold. lam keeping the battery fully employed, and the stone is turning out one ounce per ton, and to all appearances likely to continue to ; turn out that amount of gold.—l remain, gentlemen, yours obediently, Chas.
