Government Notices HAURAKI GOLD MINING DIS; TRICT. NOTICE UNDER SECTIONS 41 AND 81 OP THE GOLDMINING DISTRICTS ACT, 1873. APPLICATION FOR LICENSE TO CONSTRUCT A WATER RACE. Warden's Oflke, Grahamstown, 22nd May, 1877. A PPLICATION has been, made by Jokn -TV. D. Wickham for a license to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes at Tairua, commencing at termination ~of the Ajar G-.M. Co.'s Watar Kace, and terminating at a point about 200 yards below the Tairua Company's old battery site on main Creek. The length of such Kace is three-quarters of a mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-east and north. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by eighteen inches. It is capable of carrying two' sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it if proposed to appropriate is two* NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 26th day of June, 1877, a License may be granted to the above-named John D. Wickham for the said Water Bace, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office aot less than seven clear days before that date. W.
