The following are the different insurances effected on Caselburg's store and stock, burned at Masterton yesterday :-rLiverpool London, and Globe, £1,500; Northern, £1,000; New Zealand, £1,000; South British, £1,000; Standard, £1,000; Batavia, £500; Norwich Union, £500; Victora, £1,000; National, £1,500. The third of this- has been re-insured. The store was considered the finest in any country town in the colony. The origin of the fire is still unknown;

The ship Ben Ledie, from London, .ran in without a pilot during a heavy gale last night. She encountered very heavy weather running down the English Channel, and lost four men off' the jib-boom and had to put back for repairs. She brings a number of cabin passengers.
