THAMES STOCK EXCHANGE.— WEEKLY SHARE REPORT.
Business throughout the week has been moderately good, the previous closing quotations in mcst of the leading stocks having been 1 maintained, and in some instances improved upon, during the current week. Moanatairis opened with sales at £ll,advancing steadily to £11 15s, from which /figure they declined to £9, slightly improving at close, sales having been n^ade at £9 ss, closing sellers £9 108, buyers £9, fair demand. Considerable business has been done in Kuranui Hills at from 27s 6d to 295, closing firm. Caledonian in moderate demand'during early part of the week at 65s to 66s 6d, from which figure they declined to sellers 65s at close. Alburnias have received a large amount ot patronage during the whole .week, opening with sales at 555, cum div., and reaching 67s 6d, ex div., with a good business in them, closing with sellers at 665. Morning Stars have been quitted'at.7s to 7s 6d, closing —sellers, 7s 6d. Hcpe Creek—Business done at Is. Queen of the May (dble)—Sales, 21s to 20s;. closing -with steady demand at latter quotations; none off erin j.-; Queen of Beauty shares—Good parcels have changed hands at from 28s to 265 ; clpsin-j—few sellers ai 265. City of London—Sale's at 9s during early pait of the • week with a steady demand; later—on a call of 2s 6d having been made—shares; were placed at;lls 6d] call pd., closing with buyers ils, sellers 12s. Piakos changed hands from 12s to 10s, closing with sellers at 10s; buyers holding off. Waitekatiris early-, in week were quitted at 16s,\later on they improved,and were placed at ah"advance of Is 6d, on quotation closing, sellers 16s 6d. Welcomes have'been in fair demand at from 6s to 5s 6d, closing with a bare market, and "buyers unsatisfied.at ss. Queens: sales, 2s lid ;to-2s "wd ; closing:. sellers, 2s 9d. Large parcels of Homeward Bounds were quitted early in ths week, at Is 2d to Is 4di Cures were enquired for at 7e to 7s ,6d, at which figures buyers: were supplied. New . Candlelights, were placed upon the market at'ls," 'at which figure sales- were effected. Golden Arrows in slight demand at 4s, buyers suppliei ;'closing with sellers at'4s.
