WAITEKAURI.
A lepdrt was received from the mana- — ger to-day. The following is a copy :— Writekauri mine, May sth, '77.—Directors of the Waitekauri Gold mining and Quartz-crushing Company.—Gentlemen, I beg to forward the following weekly report: —On the low level the main drive is in 65 feet south of No. 2 winze. lam taking six feet of the reef; the stone is not looking' quite so ■ ell as it did last week. On the 160 -:', level the' drive to the north.-of .the \ wag, is in 80 feet. I an taking eight feet of; the reef; the stone is looking well. The No. 1 or leading stope, nortli of the winze, is in 88 feet; No. 2isin 16 feet; in both of the s Lopes, the reef is 16 feet in width, '■ showing good stone. The No. 1 stope, south of the winze, is in 40 feet; No. 2 is in 26 feet; No. 3 is in 12 feet. The, > reef is about 18 feet in width in the three stopes, and showing good golden stone,in' all of them. I have on hand about 400 tons quartz, and the crashing at the bat* tery is turning out fully as well as last month.—l remain, &c, Chas. Wilsok, mine manager;
