Austria, though neutral, reserves to itself liberty of action: to protect its own interests.

The Times states that seven cavalry regiments, four brigades of artillery, and forty-nine battalions of infantry are in reserve for service abroad if required.
The whole Russian army will be placed on a war footing. :y
Money is stiff.
The bank minimum rate of discount is 3 per cent.
The reserve is under £3,000,000.
Stocks rye recovering, with the exception of consols, which are down to 93J.
The wheat rise has been arrested, cad the market is now quiet. New Zealand 65a 6d.
Tallow is weaker, having declined one shilling. .
