TBANSFEBS OF SHAKES. 11 is hereby notified, that, after the Ist n JL January 1876, the use of Impressed Stamps upon Transfers of Shares is compulsory, bat transfers of shares may be stamped at a Stamp Office by the Commissioner or • Deputy Commissioner within one month after exeou t;on without a fine. : :■■■•- Managers jand Secretaries of Companies, Sharebrokerß, and others interested, are recommended to forward, without delay, such forms of transfer as they may require to be improßßed, accompanied by the usual requisi. •ion and receipt from the Bank of New ZeaV lund for amount thereof, lest the authorised discount. No transfer of any share or shares of or in the stock or funds of any corporation, company, or society what ever in New Zealand • shall be registered, recorded, or entered in the books of Buch corporation, company, &t society, unless such transfer is duly stamp** " 103. No instrument of aale or transfer of any share or shares shall be valid, either at law or in equity, unless the name of the purchaser or transferee is insert#d therein at the time of or before the.execution of the instru- > , ment of sale or transfer ; and, if any person executes a sale-note, transfer, contract-note, or other instrument of sale or transfer, in any - manner, or for any purpose whatsoever, un-. lees the iibme of the purchaser v inserted therein at the time or before the execution thereof, he shall forfeit a sum of not lew than £20 or more than £100; and, if any raok instrument i« so made er signed, it ■half be wholly and absolutely void and inoperative^ and shall in no case be made available by the insertion of a name or any other particulars ufterwards ; and the person selling or trans-, forring such share shall not, be divested of his interest therein, but. shall remain liable thereon as if he had never sold, or disposed oi the same./ And if such person is a licensed eha'rebroker, his license shall, on any coario* tion under Ibis section, be absolutely, forfeited, and,he shall not thereafter be qualified to net as a- broker, or to have a fresh lioense issued to him.
