Waitekattbi, 9.30 This day.
I paid a visit to the Waitek-auri Company's mine yesterday, and found all parts looking well, especially in the leading ttope going south, in which I Baw some splendid stone. A large amount of most substantial timbering has been done since my - last visit, and the manager is making preparations for filling up. Everything being done is carried out with a view to economy and safety. ,At the low level the main drive is being pushed ahead towards the Homeward Bound boundary, and is carrying a splendid body of stone along. The heavy rain of yesterday has made a great difference at the mill, where the stamps are moving at a merry pace.. , , ;
The Welcome is looking well, and; good stone is coming to hand from the No. 4 lode. ;
Yoxtno New -Zbaland.—A nice goldbearing stringer was cut in the main crbss-cut 24 feet further ahead of No. lj lode. Gold shows freely.; in all stone broken out, and it is quite evident that it junctions with the main lode in a few feet in depth. , ,
