MINING COMPANY MEETING.
HOMEWARD BOUND G.M.CO. (WAITBKAURI). The extraordiriai'y general meeting of the shareholders of this mine, convened by advertisement, was held at the com- ;. pany's office yesterday evening. There was a good attendance of shareholders present, and Mr Bullock waa voted to the chair. Tho following gentlemen were appointed directors : —Messrs James Darrow, H. R. Jones, Patrick Nolan, Geo. Black and J. H. Smith. It was resolred to empower the directors to make nrrangements for the extension of the Waitekauri low level drive into the Homeward Bound ground. A letter from the directors of the Sovereign and Keystone companies was read respecting; amalgamation with these companies. It was resolved to empower the directors to enter into the negotiations, and a vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting. A call is to be made, and operations started at once.
