Participation in Proftts is authorised by the Legis lature.to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3-No Policy or Medical Pees charged.. - : "•'• ; • 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent ol their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for «ho original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is.ox* hauated in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value_6f not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any feaspn the premiums ore hot paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paxdj and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace «» allowed on all Renewal Premiums. S—Policies protected from Bank' ruptCV- —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, l&nafide on his own life, is pro- : tecterj from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to ascertain amouht, which increases with its duration. Thus, affer i% has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent .of dßZOffj: after "five year?, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9 —Married women may effect Poii cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies—Policies effected for the benefic of the wife and children of the Insured oro absolutely protected from the . claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or anjr period not less than sever years. If apportianment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &C, dispensed with —When a claim- under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus Baying great expense to the representatives of the Insured. / . 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged. Whether probate or letters oi adminietra-. tion are graited by any Court or not, a statement of a'l property ryuet be filed and duties paid before the property or any part thereof of any deceused person is in any manner dealt with.
