CHICAGO MINSTRELS.

The Chicago Minstrels gave the last of their performances at the Theatre Royal last night to a very good house, but as there were no programmes furnished we are unable to notice the different items in detail. In the first part of the entertainment the sentimental songs and the choruses wererendered with feeling and correctness, which, may be taken as a very, good indication that - the several artistes are good individually as well as collectively, for the present company have not been associated so long as many of the troupes we have seen before, and therefore have not had the time for that practice which makes perfect. The comic songs were very amusing, showing to good advantage the specialities of the corner men. In the second part amongst the really good songs may be mentioned " Nil Desperandum " by Mr Cary, which was loudly encored. Mr Wallace danced the American sand jig—that we believe to be the name—-and did it in a manner that elicited loud applause. The farces were exceedingly humorous, especially the concl udirig act, "A night in a bar/ into which was imported a glove fight, the ludicrous nature of which was sufficient to exc/te the risible faculties of the most morose. The Minstrels have had a very fair season, but there might have been a better show each evening; in the stalls; for they have in the troupe some fine voices well cultivated, and some excellent musicians/besides a. repertoire of comic business equal to any company that has preceded them.
