Insurance VT E W ZEALAND . GOVEENMENT LIFE INStJKANCB.--I—The Government Lift /Insurance Department ißeues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of ewt% Policy is guaranteed ly the Colony. Participation in Profit* is authorised by the Legis lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2—Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-AH Policies are non-forfeit-able aftor one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original aw ount, until the .surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. 5-Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three- full an« naal premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not Jess than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premium* ; and if for any reason the premiums ere not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal In amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7-Liberal conditions an to travel ling and residence. • B—Polieiesprotected from Bankruptcy- —An Insurunco Policy effected by the Insured, benajide on his own life, if protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thue, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to : the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Pplioies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies —Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured; are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not loss than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently mad© by .will. • 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with I—When1 —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Lettere of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Injured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.
