I—The Government Lift /Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. Th« Payment of evcrs Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Participation in Profit* is authorised by the Legit lature to be girea to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Tees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent oi their ralue, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of erery Policy for tho original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after haying paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender yolue of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy Trill be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess.
6—Thirty days of grace ara allowed on all Renewal Premiums.

B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy.—An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, h9naf.de on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolyency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after fire years, to £500; after seren years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in fayour of the personal representative of the Insured.
9—Married women m»y effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are. protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated abore.
10—Settlement Policies—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000; provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by~will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does ifofc exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Adminittration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged. "THE STAMP ACT, 1875." NOTICE, SECTION 121 (1) of " Tbe Stamp Act, 1875," provides that every person taking po.<eceeion of, or receiving or paying any moneys belonging to, or accruing from, the property (realty as well as personalty) of any person dying' on and after Ist January next, without haying first filed the required statement and paid the duties assessed thereon, ■ball forfeit a sum not exceeding £500. Whether probate or letters of administration are grafted by any Court or not, a statement of all property isust be filed and duties paid before the property or any part thereof of any deceased person is in any manner deult with. On payment of the proper duties, the probate or-letters received from the Court, or the statement of property in other cagee, trill be stamped and delivered to the person entitled thereto. Forms of this etatemont (L) may be obtatained at any Stamp Office, at the offices of Registrars and Clerks of the Supreme and District Courts, and from the Postinaeter Depositaries throughout the colony; from whom also may be obtained further information.
