THEATRE ROYAL.

The third and last performance of the Globe :; Combination Troupe was gi'veri last night in. the Theatre Royal to, a poor audience, one qf-the .poorest, we have ever witnessed, indeed. The performance, however, was'really well carried out, Professor; Hennicke doing justice to the conjuring part iri the outset, in which he introduced several marvellous illusions n;ot previously, given. Mr. Herman appeared with his " ugly 'Johnny," and merited by his intrinsic Worth as a .ventriloqrist what he did not receive—by reason of the paucity of the attendance^-* around of applause. The aerial suspension was >: first rate. Madame Stella, while mesmerised, pourtrayed to perfection the different characters of the Irish Girlj the Highland Boy, Young Amerii can, and Britannia. The entertainment Was brought to a close by the wonderful Arabian Box Mystery, the third exhibition of which on the Thames did not make the mystery less mysterious to these who beheld it. The box was tied with every precaution to its security, but evidently the tying makes very little difference to Madame Stella^,who Was safely enough inside in less than two minutes. This box mystery is certainly one of, if pot the best, things of the kind we have ever seen, and those who have missed it have lost something worth seeing ; to the uninitiated it appears little less than supernatural. The Globe Com- ■ bination Troupe is above mediocrity, and' deserving of better patronage than.it has met with on the Thames; the other entertainments have probably militated against the success of it, however. : :
