The gold resulting from last week's crushing was melted at the Bank of New Zealand yesterday arid reduced to 1700| ounces gold. The loss is not large, being a little over one per cent. Gavin and party, the tributers, completed their crushing at the company's mill to-day for the satisfactory return of llOozs Bdwts. retorted gold. For this yield 140H33 of specimens and picked stone,.and23ij tons of general stuff were treated, the specimen stone contributing largely to the total return, -v The parties at present crushing at the company's mill are Dunn and party, company's tributers, and Foster.and party, the Alburma tributers. The parcel of the latter party amounts to something like 10) tons, and they are employing 10 head of siampers.
