TUe Payment of everj Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. ParticipatioH in Profit* is_authorised by the Legis lature to be given to*P©licy-holderß. 2-Premium rates aro lower t&an tho6o of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. -.._.-'. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full exttnt of their value, under a Bpecial regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for tho original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy i» exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers j after paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed «; cash surrender value of not Jess than 40 per cent, of the pnid-up premiums 5 and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. . 6—Thirty days of grace »«> allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal; conditions a» to travelling and residence. ' B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. —An Issuranca Policy effected by the Insured, lend fide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 1 9—Married women may effect PoX cies, dispose of the monoy by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected, from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies^—Policies effected for the. benefit of the i wife and children of the Insured ara absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it caa be subsequently made by will. , 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and ho discount charged. " THE STAMP ACT, 1875." , ' NOTICE, SECTION 121 (1) of "Tbe Stamp Act, 1875," provides that every person taking possession of, or receiving or paying any moneys belonging to, or accruing from, the property (realty as well as personalty) of any person dying on and after Ist January next, without having first filed the required statement and paid the duties assessed thereon, sbail forfeit a sum not exceeding £500. [ Whether probate or letters of administration are granted by any Court or not, a statement of all property must be filed and duties paid before the property or any part thereof of any deceased person is in any; manner dealt with. On payment of the proper duties', the probate or letters received from the Court, or the statement of property in other cases, will be stamped and delivered to the person entitled thereto. Forms of this statement (L) may be obtatained at any Stamp Office, at the offices of Registrars and Clerkß of the Supreme and District Courts, an*? from the Postmaster Depositaries throughout the colony, from whom also may be obtained farther information.
