WAITEKAURI.

The following report, which was submitted to the directors at their meeting yesterday afternoon, disclosed a highly promising state of affairs :—" Since roj^^ last week's report I hare continuedylaßk drive north of the cross-cut on the lower . level 12 feet. At that distance the quartz had drawn in from 10 to 5 feet in width. I put in a shot on what I supposed to be the hanging wall, and it broke out some good stone carrying gold. I hare now cut into it 7 feet, and still showing golden stone, but no sign of the hanging wall. I believe it to be the main reef, and the one that I have been driving on the footwall „. lode. On the 160 feet level the drive to , the north of the winze is in 35 feet.. The, reef has drawn in smaller, but still showing good golden stone. On the southern side the drive is in 33 feet. The.reef has contracted, but has the appearance of opening out again, and is showing good . . golden stone. In the leading stope going . south in the 160 feet level the reef is 18. feet in width, and showing some first rate golden stone. I have been keeping the battery fully .employed, and to all appearances am likely to continue to keop it constantly crushing. The stone that lam sending to the battery is turning out well. - —Chas. H. Wilson, mine manager." , /
