MINING COMPANY MEETING.
Candlelight Claim.
An adjourned meeting of .shareholders in the above claim was held at the Governor Bowen Hotel last night—Mr Thomas Scanlan in the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read, proving for the formation of a registered company to be called the New Candlelight Goldmining Company, with a capital of ,£7,500 in 7,500 shares of £1 each. These minutes as read were confirmed. The meeting then proceeded" to .the election' of directorsV * On the motion of Mr Dillon, seconded by Mr Symington, it was decided that the number of directors should be, five, three to form a.quoi'um. The following gentlemen were appointed: —Messrs Darrow, Crawford, Mahoney, Symington, and Scanlan—on the motion' .of Mr Hooker, seconded by Mr Dillon.. Ihe adoption of rules was then considered and a set of rules were adopted. Mr D. G. MacDonnell was appointed legal manager; - A preliminary call was made, and the meeting terminated, with a voto of thanks to the Chairman.
