IMPERIAL (WAITEKAURI).
A meeting was held last night at the office of; Mr : Geo. Harcourt, Queen street, by the' directors of the above company,' for the .purpose ~6f making a call of 2d per scrip share—as, now that the tramway -has been started, they intend-to recommence operations. The ground is' siiuate between the Waitekauri and the Comstock, in both of which the parallel .reefs carry gold. Theworkdoneasyetisonly con"Bned to thJ-surface,: but the stone got shows a good payable return, * and- the directors are of opinion that with the speedy opportunity of getting quartz crushed stone had better be broken out.
