The news by the mail, regarding the Eastern—that is the Turkish Question, sinks into insignificance by the side of the calogram published in our issue of to-day. England has signed the protocol* and Russia must now demobilise her army. Tfcat is the condition of the signatuie being attached, and no doubt the condition will be carried out. Thus then, as far as England is concerned, there is prospect of peace as regards Kussia, and ifc is not likely that any other great European power will interfere in the matter. More than this, Turkey and Montenegro will or rather may come to some agreement, and this, if it happens, will go,a great way towards the solution of the Eastern difficulty. ... '■'■-. ■
