The following report was received yes-, terday and submitted at the directors meeting .held .yesterday afternoonj—. Waitekauti'mine, March 24, 18?7.—Tb:' the directors..of the VVaitekauri Gold Mining and Quartz Crushing Co.—Gentlemen, —Since my last week's report I have cut into the reef about six feet on the lower level, andthere is no signpf.the* hanging wall; the stone is in large blocVfr and very hard; some of the blocks hare r those blue streaks which are .such good, indications for carrying gold. f Prom the 1 No. 2 winze on the sixty : feet-level I have driven north 15 feet, andliave taken 15 feet of the, reef jn'width, and ..there has-, been more" golden stone'showing this weet" than last on. the south side... I hare.driven > 16 feet and have taken 17 feet of the reef* iv width, and have. not-yet reached tbg^ hanging wall; the show of golden stone has been very good.all the week.
