The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Parti* cipatioH in' Pronto is authorised by the Legis lature to bo given to Policy-holders. 2-Premium, rates are lower than thcee of Private Companies. 3—No, Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4~All Policies are non-forfeit* able after one full annual payment to the full extent ror their Value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surre'nder-rslue of the Policy is ex* hausted in payment of premiums. 5 —Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers," after having p«id three full an« nual premiums, ore" guaranteed a cash aur>. render'value,of not Jeee.than 40-' per cent, of - the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums ore not paid when due, a paid* up Policy will be issued,- generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess; - 6—Thirty days of grace »• allowed! • on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions as to travelling and- residence. ' '' B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy-— lAn Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, btvajule on his own life, is pro* tected from bankruptcy, or insolvency laws toa certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is.protected to the extent of £200 { after five years, to, £500 j after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This .protection-Applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single) and their Policies' are protected from the .debts of their husbands,* according to dura* tion, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and 'children of the Insured are absolutely pro* tected from the claims of creditors, to the .extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not - exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.
