Serious Accident at Ohinemuri.
A serious accident.-happened yesterday to a man named John^Parr, at Ohinemuvi. Parr was employed at Fryer's .faring at Eotokohu, and was out. yesterday morning, to shoot a bird which he wanted to Ibait atf>el trap with. Whilei resting hisfleft arm on the muzzle.of the*gii&;as he* was watching the bird^ii*, kneercaught the trigger causing the charge Ito go off. The charge lodged rudder the arm and some of the shot badly lacerated his chest. He was conveyed~ir<s Mapkavtipwn by Mr; Fryer, and brought, down ibere by -the sjteamer Te Aroha last night, and taken to the Hospital,- where he^owltfes;;. I»«$t nightj the: wound was' not' considered very, serious, but this morning:DrPerston raid the man was in.o a precarious \ condition, in fact that his life is in danger: Parr being a very big manV^ii is feared that mortification will set-in. vVjfe under-. : stand that his wife and 6hild, who reside at Mack ay town, are in very straightened circumstances. ;
