Pooley; the English cricketer, and Bramhall, the money-taker, fqr~^£9B damages, for the destruction of clothing and plans; by defendants. The case was ultimately adjourned at the request of counsel for the defence, to enable an important witness to arriyo from Melbourne. It is r 'said" tKat the witness can prove'it was-ndt* Pooley or Bramhall who destroyed the, plans and clothing. The land sales for January realised£so,ooo, for February £48,000,.and for; March to date £63,000. . . , • The Times of this morning alleges tbjafc, an M.H.K., who recently joined the coin-' mercial profession, is travelling on the' railways free, in his business capacity, by mean's'of the'free pass which he'holds as a member of the Assembly.
