The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Parti* cipation in Profits is authorised by the liegifl • lature to be gives to Policy-holders. . 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able a^er one full annual payment to the iull extent oi their- value, under a special regulation /providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount} until the surrender-value .of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. - s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having pdd threo full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums ere not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. . : r 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all RenowarPromiuins. 7—Liberal conditions ** to travel* liog and residence.
B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. —An Insurance Policy t-ffectcd by the Insured, btnafide on .his own life, it pro* teeter! from bankruptcy or insolrency Ihwi to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the eztent of £200; ufter fito years, to £500j after, seven ywars, to £1000; after ten years, to £2090. Thi« protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Policies, dit>poce of the money by will, as if single } and their Policies are protected from the debts of their hueb»rds, according to dura* tion, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies —Policies effected f r the benefit of the,wife, and children of ihe Insured ar* absolutely protected from the" claims of creditors to tho eztent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If "apportijumeut is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. ■ . 11—ProTbate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Adminutrudon, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured* 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged. -' W.
