Insurance JV E W ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Lift /Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Parti* cipatioH in Profit* is authorised by the Legis luture to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Polioy op Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policiea ar,e non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under- a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy- for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. . s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three full an* nual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not Jess than 40 per cent of the paid-up premiums ; and if for any reason the premiums ere not paid when due, a paid* up Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid,-and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace aw allowed on all Renewal Premiums. ♦ _ ,7—Liberal conditions as to travel* ,ling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bank* ; ruptcy. —An Insurance Policy effected bf the Insured, bmiafide on his own life, is pro* tected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus,, after \% has endured for two years,it ia protected to the extent of £200 j after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. Thi« protection applies only in -favour of the personal representative of the Insured. B—Married women may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single ; and their Policies' are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to dura* tion, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies- —Policie» effected- for the benefit of the wife'and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. ' : . 11—Probate, Sec, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy s does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives, of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.- .
