Insurance ■ i AT EW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Lift Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of evcrj Policy is guaranteed by-the Colony. v Participation in Profit* is authorised by tke Legis lature to be given to Polioy-holdfcr*. 2- Premium rates are tower than those of Private Companies. -w*. . , 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-All Policies are non-fprftit-able after one full annual paymenfM-tb*.-full extent of their value, under,,* .special regulation providing for the contianpuee in, force of every Policy for the original amount,, until the surrender-value of the Policy is ts> hausted in payment of premium*. * ' | ' ' ' 'I s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having' pnid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will he issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in'excess. . 6rrThirty days of grace «• allowed on all' Renewal Premiums. . 7—Liberal conditions »• to travelling and residence. 6—Policies[protected f^m Bank ruptcy. —An-I»rsiirene»'rTolioy--'i»flß»ot*d-by-tke Insured, btnafiie on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy «r insolvency laws to a'certain amount^ which increases with its duration. Thus, after it .has endured for two years, it is protected to die extent of £200.; after five years, to' £500; after seven yean, to £1000; after ten yean, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; .and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to dura* tion, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies —Policies effected for the. benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than ■ seven yean. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can bo subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy -does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt'payment of Claims and no discount charged.
