HAPE CREEK G.M.CO.
Frequent enquiries hare been made of late as to what has become of this .-company, and in answer to them it may be said that the taking up of shares is proceeding—not very rapidly or in very great parcels—but with speed enough to inspire the originators of the enterprise with hopes of its ultimate success. At present about 5000 shares —about one half of those in the company—hare' been taken up, and as soon as sufficient funds are to hand, which is expected will be the case in a week or two, active work will be commenced. The start will probably be made in the Tweedside ground, where Goodall and party obtained-Bozs to the ton in the early days,' There are plenty of reefs which hare been proved orer and orer again to yield 8> and 9dwts to the ton that can be made'payable if water power crushing were used. Hcarn's tribute is looking very well, and .their, lode is not merely a small stringer, but a well defined reef 2 feet through. They will be crushing shortly.
