This day. This morning Mr Gisborne proposed that the sittings of University Senate be opened to the public. Mr Carleton moved to pass on to the next order of the day. A division was taken. For the amendment: Members present —Carleton,' »Eev. Johnston, Rev. Buddie. Against: Members present—-Gisborne, Grace, Heale, Rev. Andrew. Mr Carleton put in the proxies of Mr Stafford and Mr Rolleston for the amendment, and Rev. Johnston put in the proxy of the Rev. Stuart for the same. The motion is.still open to be brought up again.
