A CORRECTION.

(To the Editor of tjiejaEvening Star.) Sib,—Will you allows me to correct a statement made by My Bagnall at the Hospital Committee onfWednesday last, respecting my application for an advance of salary as Wardsmafi'in the Hospital. Mr Bagnall infers that I undertook the situation at a fixed salary of 30s per week. Mr Bagnall, as- one of the Committee who appointed me, distinctly told me that I was to be taken on at 30s per week, and if it was proved that I was competent to fulfil the situation I should get the same salary as the other wardsman, viz, .35s per week. Now, I need only refer to the report of the House Committee for January, wherein it is stated " that thenew Wardsman had entered upon his duties, and was giving every satisfaction."- I thought it but right that after having held the situation for nearly three months I was entitled to ask for the advance promised.—l am, &c, Ht. Menabi.
