:. Letters; from, the Minister of Justice have been received here stating that the Government will at once consider the law which prevents absentees being sued in tlie Magistrate's Courts -without consulting their attorneys, and will take measures to amend it.
Pooley, one of the English cricketers, arrived here this morning from Dunedin to answer a charge of assault on a man with whom ho had a dispute about a bet.
