Insurance , j\J E W ZEA•L AN I) i..■ ■ . . | GOVERNMENT LIFE INSUBANCE. I—The Government Lift <Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed, by the Colony. FartioipatioH in Profits is authorised by the Legis lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent oi their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from toes —Insurers, after having paid-three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash Btirtoider value of not IeBS than 40 per cent, of fffltaM-up premiums ; and if for any reason theijKmiums ere not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal iv amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6-ThirtJ days of grace aro allowed on all Kenewal Premiums. 7-LiberaA conditions as to travelling and residence. \ B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. —An Insurance Policy effeoted by rhc Insured, benajide on his own life, it) promoted from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to amount, which increases with its •duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200 j after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured, 9—Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely pro* tccted from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or an jr period not less than seven years. If apportionment ia not made at the time, it can be subsequently made 11—Probate, &c., dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may .dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no disoount charged. .
