ASSESSMENT COURT.

The Assessment Court for the purpose of hearing and determining all Objections to the valuation list for the Borough of Thames was held yesterday at the Warden's Court House before W. Fraser, Esq., Judge. The business of the Court did not terminate till half-past six o'clock. We conclude our report of the proceedings. Re James Heron's appealsAllotment in Mackay street, rated at £5. Mr Heron objected on the ground of »exc'cssive valuation. Paddock in Mackay street, rated at £25. - Mr Heron objected that he was not the .occupier. Confirmed. Allotments in Mackay street valued at £& 10s, and house and allotment ?n Mackay street rated-at £10. Mr Heron said that the house had been let at 2s 6d per week. He would be glad to let it at £5 year or 2s per week. x . Allotment and house in Pollen street rated at £10. Allotments and house-in Eyre street rated at £36 per year. Mr Heron said he would. iMr Fleming also gave corroborative Evidence. He thought it a just valuation. They "had rated Mr Heron's property at the very minimum rate. 7 Confirmed at £9. . The valuation of the Mackay street allotments was confirmed.
