The defendants pleaded not guilty, and applied for an adjournment till Friday
week, as they could not obtain an important witness for the defence until then. The witness was the Captain of the Policetnau. ,
Mr Sub-Inspector Bullen said that he would agree to the adjournment on condition that the defendants would pay the expenses of a witness which he had in attendance for the prosecution. The defendants acquiesced, and the case was adjourned till next Friday week. Court adjourned.
