Insurance ■i§i VJ EW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Lift /Insurance Department issues all desirable forma of Policies. The Payment of *vcrs Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Participatioa in Profit* is authorised by the Legis lature to be girea to Policy-holders. 2-Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3-No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-All Policies are non-forfeit-able after <>ne '"U annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a. special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, ;,-until the surrender-v»lue of the Policy ia •*• I hausted in payment of premiums. 6—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after haying p«id thtee full annual premiums,, are guaranteed a cash surrender vulue of "not Jess than 40 per cent. of the paid-up premiums } and if for any reason the premiums ere not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid,, and often much in excess. ' 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7-Liberal conditions «• to tmeiling and residence. i 8-Policies protected from Bankruptcy- —An Insurance Policy etteoted by the Insured, Unajld* on his ownjife, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. . Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £600; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only. in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9 —Married women' may effect Foli eies, dispose of the money by will, as if single j and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies.—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely pro-, tected from the claims of oreditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums an payable, during life, of any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, Ac, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12-Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged. . .
