OHINEMURI.
—. « (FBOM OXJB OWN COBEBSPONDENT.) Waitekatjbi, Thursday. Waitekauei Gr.M.Co.—Yesterday two of the directors risited the mine, and after inspecting the different workings it was decided to push down with No. 2 winze as rapidly as possible, and as there wouldn't be any quartz coming out of the winze till such time as the connection is made, all hands were knocked off from the. Queen end, as there isn't sufficient ground opened up to keep the mill going from that block without stone from the winze, so the mill is to be stopped for a month, as by that time the winze and main drive will be connected and the full force' of stamps will be kept constantly going. The stone from the Queen block is payable, and was shaping well the last two shifts, but as it only makes.a difference of about 10 men to keep the mill going the 24 hours' it is thought best to stop altogether for a month, and as the tramway is to be vigorously pushed ahead in the meantime, there ought to be no difficulty in keeping the mill constantly going when a fresh start is made.
