This day. Colonial Prize Firing*. The shooting is stopped to-day on account of the rain; forty-eight shots for the Infantry Belt and seventy-three to go. The shooting so far is much superior to any previous competition. Highest aggregate, one hundred and sixty-one, Partington of Auckland; Clark of the Thames Scottish is only six points behind. He is highest of the Thames men, and shooting well. Armstrong, McLeod and Murray are also shooting steadily, and begin-
ning to settle down to work. For the Carbine Belt McLean of the Auckland Navals is leading. Sykes of the Thames lost a few points in yesterday's match, but is shooting steadily. Fagg is considered to have no chance for belt.
