At a large meeting of 'the.''National Agricultural Society, which was called to consider the proposition of the New South Wales Agricultural Association to remove the prohibition on stock* a resolution was carried unanimously that after the information received of the recent outbreak of disease in Europe this society does not feel warranted in recommending - the Government to remove the prohibition, on importations of stock. An amendment was moved for nine months' quarantine and proper examination, but was withdrawn after a long discussion. . ;
