This day.
The Hon Geo. McLean, Commissioner of Customs, has arrived at Dunedin. He intends to apportion the apartments in the Provincial Government Buildings during his stay. Some will be used for Courthouse purposes, and others be assigned to the .Waste Lands Department. Receipts on Otago Bail ways for the past month, £15,127. A preliminary meeting of friends and supporters of Mr James Macandrew has
been held for the purpose of taking steps to present him with a testimonial.
