After a careful examination of the hold of the Himalaya to ascertain th 9 cause of the fire, the balance of opinion is in favour of spontaneous combustion amongst a quantity of straw, in which a portion of the cargo was packed.
. The City Corporation have determined to call for tenders for the extension of the Queen's Wharf immediately. The job will cost £20,000.
