Insurance vrEW ZEALAND GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSUEANOB. I—The Government Lift /Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of evcrs Policy is guaranteed ~by the Colony. Parti cipafcioH in Proais is authorised by the Legis lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. .'»■ 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-valueof the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. _. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three full an= nual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not Jess than 40 per cent, o/ the paid-up premiums j and if for any reason the premiums ore not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums' paid, and often much in excess. 6 —Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions a« to travel ling and residence. : B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy-— An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, b»najldeorx his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases •with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it ia protected to the extent of £200; after fivo years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—-Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbnnds, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies-—Policies effected for the benefit of tho wife and children of the Insured are ahsolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or anjr period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can he subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When • a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the.production of Probate or Letters of AdministraVion, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no diecount charged.
