A CAUTION.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Silt,-—I think you will be;«ohfefling a benefit on correspondents ■to newspapers by making known the following facts which have just' transpired t-rflaring written a few lines for publication in the' Advertiser on Monday horning for the good of attendants at St. James' Church, signing myself "Believer in Solemn Wofship, 1' I found in the course of the day, through a complimentary visit from the individual whom the cap so well fitted apparently, for such a breach of the peace, that my name must,, have been divulged. Upon inquiry I found that the Editor of the Advertiser had corn* mitted a breach of confidence by exposing my name in conjunction with Mr Fuljames as the writer of that letter. Allow me to state in the first place that Mr Fuljames knew nothing whatever of. the letter, and was in no way connected with its publication.. Although iw this case I was not ashamed of jay. name becoming known as the writer of that letter, and the reason I. did not publish it was because the matter referred to was not a personal grievance, but for.the good of those who' attend dirine,, service, I think, Sir, you will agree with me that this is a breach of newspaper etiquette,, and should be a caution to those who frequently write to that paper.—l am, &c;, %H. J. Weeks.
